In my second year of graphic design at George Brown, we were given the opportunity to curate a sample magazine with the topic of our choice. The set of spreads consist of : the table of contents, editor's letter/ credits, a short article, photo journal, and a featuring article.
The focus of ETHEREAL Magazine was to shine the light on Filipinx/a/o clothing, culture and designers.
In the collection of spreads, you will see photos of beautiful works from Jillian Joy Hand Crafted (@jillianjoyhc) and VINTA Gallery (@vintagallery).

Naming the magazine “ethereal” was inspired by the definition – “extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world”. The word perfectly describes traditional Filipino clothing of being a type of beauty that is different than others.
